MY DAY PROGRAM

“…Just as I imagined”
Program Supervisor: Julie Turley

My Day is a day habilitation program located in the “Broadacres” building, which was dedicated in 1987. Broadacres was used for several years as a recreational facility, and hosted the NOVA program (an outside day program) more recently. The My Day program, run directly by Immacolata Manor, was created in 2000, and serves both Manor residents as well as individuals from other homes or agencies.

My Day exists to provide a unique opportunity for individuals to gain new interests and to expand old ones. With a lower-than-average ratio of staff-to-participants, those who might not otherwise be able to develop these interests have that opportunity. Because of this individualized support, even those people whose ability appears to be declining due to age or health factors can learn how to enjoy life as it changes for them.
